Dear Washington State University Student:

On behalf of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, we would like to welcome you to Washington State University. As you approach the next phase in your life, we hope that you are thinking about your goals and visions for your college career.

Beta Theta Pi believes that college men should be recognized for their success and their desire to achieve. In fact, for more than 160 years we have been in the business of building Men of Principle. Beta strives to provide strong relationships as well as leadership opportunities to promote personal development. For many of our members, these skills have provided the foundation for a successful professional life. You have probably heard of some of them. Sam Walton, Founder of Wal-Mart; Bill Bowerman, Founder of Nike; Mike Schmidt, Baseball Great; Bruce Nordstrom, Retail Pioneer; William Perry, Former Secretary of Defense; just to name a few.

Beta Theta Pi wants to provide these same opportunities for men at Washington State University. One scholarship valued at $500 has been designated by the Beta Theta Pi Foundation for male students. This award is available to both Greek and non-Greek applicants. We are seeking men who demonstrate devotion to academic achievement and a commitment to making both the university and surrounding community better places to live. Most importantly, we are seeking men who desire to develop skills that will make them successful not only throughout the college experience, but also in future endeavors.

By applying for the scholarship, you are not committing yourself to membership at Beta Theta Pi or any other organization. Rather, you are merely affirming your desire to strive for excellence. For many men, the Beta experience has been a catalyst for success.
